expalin about being a public speaker by acting as if herself a lecturer by

INTRODUCTION
1.0 Background of Study
The writer has been given task by the lecturer to make an article
regarding public speaking. The writer chose to act as a lecturer on this
article. I only utilize the first 10 weeks of the given SAP as it was intended
by Mr. Ricky himself.
CHAPTER II
RESULT OF THE RESEARCH
2.1 Findings
My
job as a lecturer is to explain a subject to the student with a detail and
understandable method, so that the student will understand with the subject
easily. As a lecturer I shall not using an informal language when I am in the
classroom. Before I start to explain the subject to the student I shall give a brief
inroduction about the subject that are going to be taught and tell them what I
mastered in. For example, I select a topic abot how and anaylze how is the
student understanding about the sujbect that are given through e-books and I
also will give my thought and my knowledge so the student will get a clearer
picture. Let’s assume if I am going to teach about “Grammar Translation Method.”
It’s a sure thing that I will give the definition and how the Grammar
Translation Methhod applied. I will do a research about the Grammar Translation
Method first so I will be able to deliver the subject as clear as possible, and
do a discussion with the student if they have another opinion and start giving a
task for a better understanding.
I may make use of both scripts and
cue cards as each has their own strengths and weeknesses: A script is too long
but really detail, a cue card is short but it can be comprehend easily, to
attract the student attention I will do a friendly not dominating interaction
with them making them as comfortable as possible. I will also do better a
speach infront of the class since I do it many times and gaining much
experiences, Visual aid are easier to distract our eyes rather than textual
aids which needs us to comprehend the message thoroughly, the use of projector
is needed to a slideshow of a chapter, we prepare it by making a PowerPoint file
and hand out the student the soft copy so that they can learn it outside the classroom.
Before I start to teach I need to know about the classroom situation, if the
classroom isn’t convenience and may distract our focus while learning then I
will ask for another class. At first I obviously will feel nervous and didn’t do
so good since I do blabbering alot, I may opt to stand or sit according to my
needs when teaching, and I also do pay attention to the student learning their
facial expression to determine if they are understand with the subject or not.
Taking questions may out from the topic subject matter and take a lots of time,
but it certainly will attract the student attention ad we can help them more
anytime, If I am in a good mood or even bad mood I can always take control of
myself, as for the student who have a hard time understanding the subject than
I will give a easier or well-known thing to discuss, for example if they are
insterested about movie then I will talking about “The Avengers.” Movie if they
are interested in superhero movie.
